FlyOver in Las Vegas is a new immersive flight ride from Pursuit, officially debuting on the Las Vegas Strip Sept. 1. The attraction will take guests on a multisensory journey over 22 of the American West’s most spectacular destinations, like the Grand Canyon and Oregon’s Cascade Volcanic Arc.
The flight ride’s film, The Real Wild West, will be shown in 8-K high-definition on a 52.5-foot spherical screen as “fliers” glide through some picturesque U.S. locations. FlyOver uses a state-of-the-art moving platform with six degrees of motion and utilizes special effects like wind, mist and location-specific scents. Guests’ feet hang dangling over the country’s natural wonders.
“We are thrilled to open Pursuit’s first FlyOver in the United States next month,” said Lisa Adams, vice president, FlyOver Attractions. “The immersive nature of this experience is something The Strip has never seen before; you’ll be able to experience many of the world’s most incredible locales without leaving Las Vegas Boulevard.”
Pre-boarding, a pre-show experience by Moment Factory entertains guests. The panoramic, six-minute pre-show is projected across 360-degree wraparound walls. Upon boarding, guests reach new heights over Lost Coast in California; Yellowstone National Park; Cascade Lake; Bonneville Salt Flats; and more.
Next to Hard Rock Café on Las Vegas Boulevard, FlyOver will open with two flight ride experiences and a full-service bar. Tickets start at $24 for children 12 and under and $34 for adults.
