Viceroy Chicago recently launched House Masterclass, an immersive cultural experience offering guests a first-of-its-kind opportunity to explore Chicago’s groundbreaking house music scene through private studio sessions and guided tours. Perfect for music lovers, the package also offers guests an opportunity to enjoy the energy of Chicago.
“At Viceroy Chicago, we are proud to connect our guests with the soul of the city through curated experiences that celebrate its rich history, diverse culture and legendary arts scene,” said Patrick Lacassagne, general manager, Viceroy Chicago. “Collaborating with The Vintage House Show allows us to offer an authentic and immersive journey into the heart of Chicago’s creative spirit, from its iconic neighborhoods to the birthplace of a genre of music beloved around the world.”
The Vintage House Show is a radio show, podcast and collective of music historians dedicated to illuminating and preserving the lives, music and careers of Chicago’s House Music legends. It is also a recent recipient of the Regional Emmy award for its house music documentary on WTTW. Through the curated partnership, guests are invited to immerse themselves in the city’s vibrant house music scene, first originated in the late 1970s, over the course of two hours.
The House Masterclass is exclusive only to hotel guests and features:
- Exclusive in-room welcome amenity
- Guided tour of Chicago’s iconic house music venues, including Gramophone Records and The Warehouse, by one of The Vintage House Show’s historians
- Private, in-studio mixing session with one of Chicago’s house music pioneers, such as founder of The Warehouse, Robert Williams; internationally acclaimed producer and DJ, Joe Smooth; and the “Queen of Chicago House Music,” DJ Lady D
- The opportunity for guests’ mixing sessions to be broadcast live on WNUR-89.3 FM
- Luxury car service between all tour stops
The House Masterclass starts at $1,750, is booked separately from guestrooms and must be reserved seven business days in advance. Visit the Viceroy Chicago experiences page to learn more.
