The imposing cliffs on the west coast of Ireland shot to fame in recent years and now boast a Visitors Center.
With a maximum height of 214 meters, the Cliffs of Moher are truly spectacular. As a result, they’re one of the most frequently visited attractions in Ireland, with around 1.5 million people making the trip each year.
You can hike along the top of the cliffs on the Moher Coastal Walk, an 18-kilometer trail from Hag’s Head to Doolin. Alternatively, just pull up to the Visitors Center and take a peek, or take a boat trip to see the cliffs from sea level. If you’re lucky, there might even be plane rides from Connemara Airport, although this depends on the weather.
On that point, the climate can make visiting tricky at certain times of year. The area is known for rain and fog, so try to time your visit for the summer months. To get there, head south from Galway or northwest from Limerick.
