The people of Cambodia are not as well off as those in more developed countries. Some of the citizens struggle through their lives with the hardships they face. Travelers who are more well off or have some time to give can make a big difference in the lives of Cambodians. There are many different ways to volunteer in the country; for example, teaching the children or helping farmers plant and harvest food. There are many reputable companies that offer safe volunteer trips in the country that ensure volunteers’ efforts and time are used wisely. Most of the volunteer trips are not expensive as to entice more people to participate.

One of the best ways to get involved with Cambodia for a long-term trip is to join the Peace Corps. The Peace Corps has a long history of being a reputable company for helping those in need around the world. They select applicants from America and send them to sites that match their needs. Cambodia is one of the countries the Peace Corps is affiliated with and they send volunteers every year to aid the country. Going through the Peace Corps is a sure way to know the volunteering is in no way of taking advantage of the host country.

This website is another company that hosts volunteers in Cambodia to help further the education system and growth of children. They donate money and time to helping Cambodians have a better playing field and more opportunities. Check out the site and see if teaching English to Cambodians is something of interest.

Leave Troublesome Rideshare Worries Behind

We can see it now and remember when it happened to us: Watching as the black car icon loops around and around, seemingly endlessly, and our wait time on the rideshare app continually changes. Long wait times and confused drivers are just a few bothersome issues that can nag at rideshare users. Need a solution? Ditch rideshares altogether in favor of renting a car on your next trip.
