In the last few years, Walt Disney World announced a lot of changes coming to the parks, from complete park overhauls to new hotels to new transportation options. Disney offers plenty of transportation options to guarantee quick travel to and from properties. Hop on the famous monorail, catch the bus, call a “Minnievan” or take Disney’s newest mode of transportation, the Skyliner.
The Skyliner, also known as “the most magical flight on earth,” opened Sept. 29, and was eagerly anticipated by guests. Head to the sky and take a gondola ride to the parks or back to your resort. The gondolas take you over waterways and above treetops as a magical, futuristic mode of transportation. During a ride on the gondolas, experience new, amazing views of the parks and surrounding properties.
The Skyliner has ports at EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Art of Animation, Pop Century and the new Riviera Resort coming to Caribbean Beach. Depending on where you are going some rides may take more time than others, but none are longer than 20 minutes.
There are around 300 gondolas, some plain, but most decked out with your favorite Disney characters, films and attractions.
