Royal Caribbean’s latest private destination, Perfect Day Mexico, is set to open in 2027. While that’s still some time from now, the brand recently gave travelers a peak into what they can expect if they book a cruise that stops at the destination in the future.
Much like Royal Caribbean’s ships, the destination will be split into distinct neighborhoods. A waterpark neighborhood will include 30 waterslides; the tallest waterslide tower and slides in the Western Hemisphere; the longest coaster waterslide in the world; the world’s first sombrero slide; and the tallest family raft slide in the world. Another water-dedicated neighborhood will feature a 100,000-square-foot pool and the longest lazy river in the world. Other spaces include an adults-only neighborhood, beach areas and a central plaza boasting the world’s largest sombrero.
In other words, just as it does with its ships, Royal Caribbean is dedicated to setting records with this new, land-based attraction.
“We’re committed to pushing the boundaries of what a modern-day vacation can be — delivering innovative experiences that create unforgettable memories for our guests and value for the communities we visit,” said Jason Liberty, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean Group. “As we continue to innovate and expand our offerings at sea and on land, our ambition is to offer our guests a diverse range of experiences that grow with them, turning the vacation of a lifetime into a lifetime of vacations.”
