If you always thought you might’ve made a good pirate, taking to the high seas during the golden age of swashbuckling sailors, you can live out those dreams — at least in the modern era — with a visit to Panama City Beach’s Pirates of the High Seas & Renaissance Fest.
Taking place over three days, Oct. 11–13, the annual event is free and welcoming to all ages. The fest celebrates the area’s pirate-centric past and stories from centuries ago, and activities include live entertainment, knight fighting tournaments, fireworks, parades, an enchanted marketplace and more.
The fun kicks off Oct. 11 at 8 a.m. with a private breakfast experience, before gates to the greater festival open at 4 p.m., with entertainment found across multiple stages and continuing on for the next two days.
“We are thrilled to welcome visitors, as well as our residents to this year’s Pirates of the High Seas & Renaissance Fest. With a spectacular lineup of pirate and medieval-themed entertainment for all ages, this annual event offers families a one-of-a-kind experience at the Real. Fun. Beach,” described Dan Rowe, president and CEO, Visit Panama City.
