An inaugural food festival kicks off in the U.S. Virgin Islands this month. The first Taste of Lovango festival takes place over three days at Lovango Resort & Beach Club on St. John, May 2–4.
The three-day affair includes lots of culinary events, including fixed-price dinners, daily activities and live music, as well as guest appearances from celebrities such as Tiffani Faison, Top Chef winner; and Adrianne Calvo, a restauranteur you may have spotted on Food Network in the past.
The festival kicks off May 2 with a Beach Club pop-up experience, followed by a Mutiny Island Vodka opening party. On May 3, more pop-ups await, followed by the event’s signature fixed-price dinner. May 4 is much the same, with a Friends of Virgin Islands National Park Dinner Under the Stars wrapping things up that evening.
Travelers interested in attending can book a spot at separate main events (though these tickets are going quickly). Overnight packages are also available for those who want to stay at the resort itself. Accommodation options range from treehouses to glamping tents to luxury villas, and overnight guests enjoy access to all festival events.
