Dining/Entertainment

Mark your calendar now for the Food & Wine Classic in Charleston. The second annual event takes place Nov. 14–16 and is the perfect excuse for traveling foodies to make their way to the South Carolina city.

Presented by the city’s tourism organization, as well as Food & Wine, this festival both highlights local chefs and restaurants, while also bringing in well-known foodie faces and celebrity restauranteurs. So far, the lineup for this year’s event includes recognizable names such as Tyler Florence, Emril and EJ Lagasse, and Andrew Zimmern. Meanwhile, the lineup of events over the three days includes cooking demos, tastings and highlight events like a low country tailgate featuring Southern barbecue and music.

Tickets go on sale May 15, with passes allowing you access to four tastings and five cooking demonstrations and wine seminars. It’s advised you pre-register for seminars ahead of the event, limited to those aged 21 and over.

Passes are $1,950, with early-bird pricing available until the end of July, for a discounted price of $1,450. If you want to attend special additional events such as the aforementioned low country tailgate or a crabbing excursion and cooking class, you’ll need to purchase additional tickets accordingly.
