Serious foodies already know to make tracks for Pebble Beach, California, in early April for Pebble Beach Food & Wine. However, if you’ve yet to attend this premier culinary event, which is now in its 15th year, what can you expect if you attend?
To start, expect unprecedented access to celebrity and similarly lauded chefs from around the world, with more than 300 chefs, restaurateurs, winemakers and mixologists attending. Think recognizable names like Michael Symon and Geoffrey Zakarian.
Then, over the course of the weekend, you’ll have ample ways to spend your time. Attend walk-around tastings, more formal chef-led meals or wine and spirits seminars. The Tasting Pavilion is the highlight of the festival for many, where you can find plenty of ways to fill your cup and your belly.
Just know tickets aren’t going to come cheap. A weekend Tasting Pavilion pass, for example, starts at $685. Chef-hosted meals and similar special events have separate ticket prices. You can, though, purchase packages. The most affordable is a lunch and dinner package starting at $1,650, which gives you access to up to six events — the opening night reception and your choice of two dining experiences (one lunch, one dinner) each day of the festival.
