Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism collaborates with Colorado-based Nova Sky Stories to bring the world’s largest drone light show to Abu Dhabi. Nova Sky Stories has already set records with its drone technology (such as the Guinness World Record for largest number of drones flown as part of one event), and you may have seen Nova’s work during recent Olympics ceremonies and at the Super Bowl.
The planned Abu Dhabi synchronized drone performances will take place at various “iconic locations” and use drone technology and immersive storytelling to reflect the emirate’s heritage. Shows will include 10,000 high-tech light-show drones.
“With this pioneering initiative, Abu Dhabi is at the forefront of embracing innovation and will have the largest fleet of the most advanced light drones in the world for storytelling and entertainment. Nova empowers the world’s greatest artists and musicians to bring their art to the sky and we cannot wait to show the world what is possible with a fleet this size,” said Kimbal Musk, CEO and co-founder, Nova Sky Stories.
Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman, Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, added, “By harnessing innovative technologies, we are finding new and immersive ways to share our vision and culture with the world.
