After a quick walk from the lobby, the lights and gold accents of the entrance to the spa welcomed me into the reception area. Following check-m,,m in, I was escorted to a private couch separated by thin white curtains. Here is where the experience really began: Slippers were provided, and I was handed a delightful Rose White Tea to sip on while filling out a consultation form. This extra step of care ensured an individualized experience.
During my visit, I experienced the Synactif Signature Age Defying Retreat, a comprehensive, 120-minute treatment of Synactif formulations and body sculpting treatments. Once in the treatment room, I was given the opportunity to change out of my clothes and wash away the day in the shower. Equipped with Molton Brown products, I came out of the water refreshed and ready to be taken care of. The session began with a sculpting upper body massage, concentrating on my back and arms. My therapist focused on my shoulders, noting I was particularly tight in that area.
There was hard work done to alleviate tension. The massage struck a perfect balance between relaxation and revitalization, leaving me with a sense of ease and renewal.

Following the massage, I turned over on the warm massage bed to begin the transition to the Synactif Sculpting Facial, which I was most excited for. This facial incorporated a selection of products, tools and sophisticated techniques to lift, firm and brighten my skin. The experience was a true sensory escape, from the gentle motions of lymphatic drainage to the warm towels that almost lulled me to sleep. Once the facial was finished, I was given privacy to dress and I immediately went to the mirror to inspect my skin.
While looking at my reflection I could see the work reflected in my face. My skin was dewy, fresh and noticeably more hydrated. Each step had contributed to a noticeable transformation in my skin’s texture and tone.

Once out of the treatment room, I went back to the lounge where I caught a glimpse of Namsan Mountain from the couch while sipping another cup of herbal tea. If you’re not quite ready to leave after your treatment, there is an opportunity to shop Clé de Peau Beauté products. I browsed through the catalog on the iPad provided, but ultimately decided to wait to purchase until my next visit. The Clé de Peau Beauté Spa at The Shilla Seoul is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking out a luxury skincare experience.
