World’s First 4-D Sound Wellness Resort Opens in Costa Rica

The world’s first 4-D sound wellness resort has opened in Costa Rica: The Vessyl.

The resort sits on nearly 120 acres in the rainforest, beneath Arenal Volcano. Only 33 guests are on the property at one time, staying in a mix of villas, glamping tents and a treehouse. There is a range of wellness offerings at this resort, but the highlight is the Frequency Dome. It’s a “sound sanctuary and recording studio.”

According to the property, “The Dome features spatial audio, immersive visuals and a custom floating floor embedded with 24 transducers allowing frequency to flow through vibration as well as sound. The space hosts meditation, breathwork, movement experiences, intimate performances and conversations intended to foster awareness, creativity and connection.”

It’s this Dome that gives the resort its “first-of-its-kind” status.
