Beauty

Rather than exclaiming something “fits like a glove,” maybe we should change the phrase to “fits like a shoe.” At least that’s what’ll happen once the ‘Wrap On’ Minimalist Furoshiki Footwear catches on.

The Furoshiki by Vibram is designed to hug your foot much the same way a well-fitting glove does. Influenced by a Japanese custom of packaging items by wrapping them in cloth, the Furoshiki wraps around and molds to your foot. It’s designed with stretch fabric that adjusts to any shape or size foot, even if you’ve got some sort of Bigfoot claw going on under there.

To make things even simpler, the Furoshiki comes with its own traveling case. The unisex shoe comes in sizes ranging from XS to XL and a multitude of colors. Orange is our personal favorite.

To get a better idea of how it works, simply imagine the flat sole of the bottom of a shoe. You place your foot on top, then fold in the sides, which look like wings, over top of your foot for a tight grip. The pressure sort of pulls the bottom around your feet for a snug, comfortable fit.

The shoe is definitely unique in performance and look and lives up to Vibram’s minimalist reputation nicely. They’ve been selling out fast, but you can place orders online for $110.
