Everyone has heard of the notorious Bermuda Triangle, a region between Florida, Bermuda and Puerto Rico that has been the source of urban legend for centuries. The area has seen the disappearances of many aircraft, ships and people under mysterious circumstances. Interestingly, many travelers are drawn to this infamous place, whether for its haunted locations, maritime tragedies or otherworldly caves.
If Bermuda and its mystifying triangle fascinate you, there’s four places in Bermuda you’ll want to visit:

On this part walking tour, part theatrical performance, you can wander down the winding cobblestoned alleyways of St. Georges, a UNESCO World Heritage site where shipwrecked sailors first arrived on the island. During the tour, guides share spooky stories of some of the island’s most ill-famed residents over the centuries.
Did you know Bermuda has more shipwrecks per square mile than anywhere else in the world? In fact, some of these wrecks date all the way back to the 1600s. Sea Venture is an especially notable wreck. The 17th-century English sailing ship was part of a mission flotilla to the Jamestown Colony before it wrecked near Bermuda. Treasurer, another 17th-century ship, was responsible for delivering the first African slaves to Virginia and Bermuda, before wrecking. While these wrecks aren’t accessible by diving, others like The North Carolina (1880), The Hermes (1984) and The Cristóbal Colón (1923) are.

Learn About Bermuda Triangle at BUEI
At Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute, the island’s premier ocean discovery center, you can experience an interactive exhibit called Bermuda Triangle: Unlock the Secrets. This exhibition spotlights a variety of supernatural myths and scientific facts seeking to explain the mysteries of the triangle, with theories ranging from rogue waves to methane gas to even extraterrestrial activity.
Visit the northernmost point of the Bermuda Triangle at Albuoy’s Point. This triangular park in the city of Hamilton features a sign marking the spot where you’ve entered the Bermuda Triangle.
