Natchez Pumpkin Patch Festival
For several weeks, Oct. 11–31, Natchez’s Pumpkin Patch Festival displays all sorts of pumpkins and hosts events in the festival’s “Pumpkin Patch” on a downtown street corner. Activities range from kid-friendly story times to ghost tours and pet parades.
Junkin’ on the River
You can combine your visit to the pumpkin patch with some serious shopping if you plan your travel dates for Oct. 11–12. That weekend, Junkin’ on the River takes over a 15-mile spread in the area, lining a route with more than 200 vendors and shops, all selling antiques, vintage items and “junk.”
The Natchez Balloon Festival
Of course, the biggest fall event of them all is Natchez Balloon Festival, now celebrating its landmark 40th year. From Oct. 17 to 19, programming will include hot-air balloon flights, fireworks and live music.
Y’all Means All Natchez
Then, toward the end of the month, Oct. 23–25, celebrate Pride mid-fall with the Y’all Means All Natchez event, including a pub crawl, costume party and similar fun.
