Palm Springs, Calif., celebrates its annual Pride Festival, Nov. 7–9. The premier Southern California event takes place in downtown Palm Springs on Palm Canyon Drive and Arenas Road. The free two-day festival kicks off with an equality concert on Nov. 7 from 6-10 p.m. on Arenas Road. Acts include Story of the Running Wolf, Lorie Moore, Jeremiah Clark and Jack Mozie. A beer garden is open to concert-goers 21 years of age or older.
The festival runs 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Palm Canyon Drive and 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Arenas Road on Nov. 8 and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. on Palm Canyon Drive and 10 a.m.–8 p.m. on Arenas Road on Nov. 9. Check out the food and beverage booths, a farmers market, 150 exhibitors and non-profit organizations and live performances. Family-friendly activities including arts and crafts and games, hosted in the Children’s Headquarters and Youth Zone.
The 28th Anniversary Pride Parade begins at 10 a.m. on Nov. 9 at Palm Canyon Drive and Tachieva Drive. In addition to the festival and parade, check out the various pride events throughout the city including the Pride Beach Party and multiple pool parties. More than 25,000 are expected to attend the festival.
