Breakwater Inn, in Kennebunkport, Maine, recently launched an exclusive new Maine Food Tour, including two-night accommodations in an ocean-view suite, a signature dish and drink of choice at each restaurant on the tour, car service to each food destination, and V.I.P. treatment at each location.
The tour kicks off with a dinner at beloved Mabel’s Lobster Claw, with dishes like The Dutchess with scallops, shrimp and lobster in garlic wine sauce; classic Lobster Risotto with mushrooms, spinach, parmesan and balsamic drizzle; and the Fried or Blackened Haddock Sandwich. A slice of homemade blueberry pie, made with Maine’s wild blueberries, caps off the meal.
The next day, the journey starts at Mabel’s Pantry to enjoy signature Maine blueberry pancakes made with local wild blueberries. A quick stop atKport Provisions brings road trip supplies and a locally brewed coffee before guests set out through southern Maine’s most storied seaside towns of Kennebunkport, Kittery, Ogunquit and beyond.
Each stop offers a signature taste of the region at restaurants including Robert’s Maine Grill, a celebrated seafood staple in Kittery; Bob’s Clam Hut, known for its Bob’s Style Clams; Harbor Burger Shack for a creative surf-meets-turf option; The Maine Catch, a classic New England seafood restaurant; and Port Fish & Chop House at The Breakwater Inn.
Breakwater Inn recently reopened following a top-to-bottom renovation. Through Oct. 12, the Maine Food Tour is priced starting at $2,500 for two people staying in one suite.
