Through April 26, you can visit Botanica, The Wichita Gardens and, during Tulipfest, stroll through more than 75,000 tulips blooming across the grounds.
The botanical gardens’ Tulipfest invites visitors to participate in its Sensory Stroll experience, which includes a range of activities for all ages. Guests visit planting stations, engage in tulip tastings and learn from staff horticulturalists. Local music and entertainment, lawn games, kids’ activities and education, and seasonal food and beverages are also on tap, as are one-off classes and workshops, such as a watercolor class on April 14 and 16.
New this year, guests can also attend a Sunday brunch. Remaining brunch dates include April 12 and 19. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., attendees enjoy a garden-set French bistro brunch.
“This is one of the most anticipated times of year at Botanica,” said Dr. Lynette A. Zimmerman, executive director, Botanica, The Wichita Gardens. “Tulipfest is more than just a flower festival. It’s a celebration of renewal, community and the beauty that comes with the changing seasons. We look forward to welcoming guests to experience spring in full bloom.”
Tulipfest tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Note the Sensory Stroll experience is only available on Friday evenings and Saturdays.
