Tourist destination Pigeon Forge is filled with family-friendly and adventure-focused attractions that appeal to the wealth of travelers who flock to Tennessee to visit the small community and nearby Gatlinburg. Now, Pigeon Forge welcomes guests to its latest thrill: Pigeon Forge Racing Coaster, the world’s first side-by-side alpine racing coaster. The attraction is co-founded by NASCAR driver and Live Fast Motorsport team co-owner BJ McLeod.

“Building this alpine coaster and seeing it come to life is a dream come true,” said McLeod. “My wife Jessica and I started coming to Pigeon Forge several years ago and we were blown away by the culture of entertainment and family fun. When our partner Teddy presented the idea to build a competition-themed alpine coaster, we were all in, since racing is everything in our family. We couldn’t be more excited to share that culture with the world.”
The racing coaster features timed races, leaderboards, dual uphill pulls, three helixes, an 80-foot spiral drop and speeds up to 30 mph. Passengers must be at least 38 inches tall and drivers must be at least 16 years old to drive with a passenger, and at least 56 inches tall to drive alone.
