If you’re planning on taking a Viking river cruise in the near future, you may be delighted to find there are brand-new shore experiences on offer — and they’re available to book now.
If you’ll be on Rhine, Danube, Seine or Elbe rivers itineraries this season, you can enjoy a range of new shore experiences. Step aboard a Zeppelin and fly over the Ruhr Valley during your time in Germany. You can also view Cologne during a Zeppelin flight.
If you’d rather keep your feet on solid ground, you can visit Nikolaihof Winery, one of the oldest in Austria, or take a walking tour through the historic city of Durnstein. Other new tours blending history, sightseeing and culinary offerings are now available in Belgrade, Berlin and Rouen, as well.
However, the new offerings hardly stop there. Viking is also introducing new small group shore experiences, as well as new pre- and post-cruise experiences.
“Europe remains a favorite destination for our guests — particularly those interested in experiencing a river voyage for the first time,” said Torstein Hagen, executive chairman, Viking. “As we continue to expand our offerings in Europe, we are pleased to introduce new experiences that allow our guests to engage with their destination in the Viking way — through local food, culture and traditions, or even from the air in a Zeppelin.”
