If you’re in or planning to visit New York State this month, you have several options when it comes to filling your calendar with fun fests and similar events — and all have a floral twist.
If you’re in the Hudson Valley, April 18–19, stop by gorgeous Lyndhurst, a Gilded Age, Gothic Revival mansion, for the Flower House event and market. World-class florists have taken over each room of the historic property, decking them out with beautiful, photo-worthy floral arrangements. Roam on your own, and then visit the 30-vendor market, where you can purchase botanical décor and floral items, as well as seasonal bites.
For more floral love, attend the Waterdrinker Tulip Festival, which kicks off April 18 on Long Island. Across Waterdrinker’s farms, you’ll be able to make your way through millions of tulips — don’t forget to take advantage of the u-pick offering!
On the other side of the state, attend the Buffalo Cherry Blossom Festival, April 25–26. Now in its 13th year, the festival takes place in Delaware Park and includes cultural displays, music and more — and better yet, it’s totally free.
