For traveling foodies, the Finger Lakes are about more than just wine. See what all the fuss is about when you travel along the Finger Lakes Sweet Treat Trail.

Newly revamped for the year and running through November, the 2025 Sweet Treat Trail features 22 stops across Cayuga Country. Yes, there are all of the sweet treats you’d expect, like baked items and ice creams, but orchards, cafés and farm shops also feature on the trail. The 2025 trail theme is sustainable agriculture, so sweet treats incorporating produce and sustainably produced ingredients, like honey and maple syrup, are par for the course.
If you do visit a participating business, you can scan a QR code, share your experience on social media, and earn points toward winning a giveaway basket featuring the trail business’s treats at the end of July and end of October.

You can grab a map for the self-guided trail tour experience at participating businesses or at the NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center in Auburn. Brochures are also available online.
“Visit our farms and see where the products and ingredients come from for our other partners along the trail,” said a Cayuga County Office of Tourism representative in a release announcing this year’s trail opening. “See the land, take pictures of the animals and get to know where your food comes from.”
