Fourth Annual Mexology Fest Coming to Riviera Nayarit

Make plans for the Nov. 2–3 Mexology Fest at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. The celebration blends Day of the Dead traditions and Mexican spirits, with resort guests enjoying tasting, workshops and more, for four years and counting.

On Nov. 2, arrive and craft your “Mexology flavor” during a workshop celebrating local and seasonal ingredients. Then, explore classic Mexican cocktails in a special event. In the evening, the bar is taken over by select guests with unique offerings.

Event highlights include not only tastings and workshops, but also cocktail-making sessions, bar takeovers, a virtual reality experience that introduces guests to the agave fields of Mexico and a farewell cocktail finale located at a beachside setting only accessible by boat.

The resort is inviting a large number of mixologists to the event, including those who bring an international take to the Mexican agave spirits on display. Highlights include Danica McGuinness, a three-time Emmy Award-winning NBC news producer and Saeed “Hawk” House, a Los Angeles bartender known as one of Food & Wine’s 20 Black Mixologists You Need on Your Radar.
