Hotel

Kaimana Beach Hotel, Waikiki’s award-winning beachfront boutique hotel, invites guests to participate in its Kai Sallas Surf Retreat, a skill-focused surf program led by Kai Sallas, a WSL World Longboard Champion and two-time ISA World Longboard winner. These sessions are offered two times this summer, running July 13 to 17 and Aug. 24 to 28.

Guests can learn to surf or perfect the craft in the iconic waters of Waikiki, where the surfing originated. Each retreat offers oceanfront accommodations and personalized coaching from one of the sport’s best athletes.

Highlights of the program include a morning warm-up and two-hour surf session with coaching from Kai and his team; video analysis; post-surf lunch; use of Premium Sallas/KSLCO boards; a farewell reception dinner with recaps from the week; a Kaimana welcome gift; complimentary morning coffee at Sunset Provisions, also offering goods from more than 28 local Hawai’i artists; Kai Sallas goodies; and video footage to take home.

Guests and locals alike are welcome to participate in the retreat. There are different booking options available depending on what guests are looking for. Packages include the retreat with hotel accommodations, a day pass for locals looking to participate and a five-day retreat option.
