Miami has long been a popular destination for gay men and women looking to let loose and relax. It’s home to many gay-friendly beaches, restaurants, shops and, of course, gorgeous bodies on display.
While any beach in Miami is fairly friendly toward LGBT patrons, it’s 12 Street Beach where you’ll find the majority of gay and lesbian folks hanging. You’ll spot it by the giant pride flags flying high above the sands. Haulover Beach to the south is also a great spot for those in need of something clothing optional.
Nightlife options for LGBT visitors are abundant in Miami Beach, with two of the most popular being the drag-loving Twist and the megaclub known as Score. Those looking for a more relaxed atmosphere will find themselves at home at either Cabaret South Beach, a live music venue, or the piano bar Magnum Lounge.
For shopping, make sure to stop by South Beach’s Lincoln Road Mall for some of the trendiest shops in town.
If you’re looking to really live it up in Miami, try and book your travels around popular festivals and events like Miami Beach Gay Pride or the White Party. The city also offers the Gay & Lesbian Walking Tour of Miami Beach year-round, so there’s always something happening in one of America’s gayest cities.
