This month, Mexico City hosts two of the world’s most iconic experiences: Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix and Día de los Muertos celebrations.
On the weekend of Oct. 24–26, the streets around Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez come alive with excitement from the 71-lap Formula 1 race.
But, the excitement doesn’t stop there. From Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, the city transforms with marigolds, ceremonial altars, giant Catrinas, costumes and music to celebrate Día de los Muertos. The unforgettable spectacle fills the street with festive music and dances, and concludes with the world-famous parade, where locals and visitors alike can celebrate the lives of their loved ones.
While taking part in all these celebrations, make Andaz Mexico City your home base. The hotel is just 8 miles from the racetrack and 2 miles from the parade route, and offers immersive experiences such as:
- Formula 1 rooftop viewing parties
- Pan de muerto, otherwise known as authentic Mexican hot chocolate, at Derba Matcha Café
- SoFar Sounds Concert Oct. 31, where guests are encouraged to don Halloween costumes
- Complimentary Catrina face painting
