MSC Cruises Introduces New Family-Friendly Experiences

Starting this month, MSC Cruises rolls out some new family-friendly experiences at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. Ocean Cay is the cruise line’s private islands in the Bahamas and features a conservation center and eight beaches.

Families will soon be able to meet LEGO mascots at the cay’s Welcome Pavilion, alongside the  MSC Cruises mascot, Doremi, as part of a LEGO pop-up activation.

Then, a new augmented reality experience is fun for all ages. As guests explore, they can use their mobile device or tablet, combined with an app, to take on an exciting treasure hunt. As guests visit wooden sculptures around Ocean Cay, they can scan them to trigger augmented reality storytelling. Along the way, participants learn about ecological challenges and native species including fish, flora and fauna.

In addition to these family-focused offerings, cruisers visiting Ocean Cay will also now have access to wellness and sports programming led by two professional coaches. Designed to mimic beach retreat experiences, this programming will include yoga, sports, functional training, and even a fire and ice challenge with hot yoga and ice baths.

The above experiences will not all be immediately available this month, but will be rolled out in phases over the coming year.
