Created entirely through public donation, The Little Museum of Dublin showcases curated objects donated by the people of Ireland. Each artifact tells a story, weaving a rich and personal narrative of Dublin life across generations. This year, TripAdvisor named the museum as one of the top 10 attractions to visit in Europe. The museum placed No. 7 in Europe and No. 12 in the world at TripAdvisor’s 2026 Travellers’ Choice Awards.

Within, visitors will find carefully designed exhibitions highlighting defining moments in Irish history, from everyday life to national events like the Easter Rising and U.S. President John F. Kennedy’s visit to Dublin. Currently, the museum boasts more than 6,000 artifacts across three floors. The collection includes an unopened lemonade bottle found in the wreckage of RMS Leinster, sunk by a German submarine in 1918 and he greatest maritime disaster in Irish history.

A stained-glass panel of St. Brendan, which dates to around 1920, is also on display. The panel was rescued from a dumpster and, while some pieces remain missing, it stands as a testament to Irish culture and history.
The museum was founded in 2011, and, in 2024, it underwent a 14-month redevelopment, reopening in June 2025.
The museum lies in an 18th-century Georgian townhouse along St. Stephen’s Green and offers rotating exhibitions, as well. It is highly encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time.
