New Attractions in Tennessee This Summer

There’s lots new to love in Tennessee this summer. Wherever your travels take you, consider checking out one of these recently introduced spots and attractions.

The Memphis Flyaway
At Tom Lee Park, this free, ADA-accessible observation deck provides views of the Mississippi River and surrounding wetlands. The 220-foot elevated walkway also shows off the city skyline, and positions visitors perfectly to take in major migratory bird routes.

The Long Island Iced Tea Trail
It may sound strange, but yes, Northeast Tennessee claims to be the true birthplace of the Long Island Iced Tea (regardless of the cocktail’s name). A new digital passport allows you to explore this favorite cocktail and more as you hop between breweries, chocolate shops, restaurants and bars.

The Crystal Express
At Anakeesta adventure park in Gatlinburg, you can now experience the Crystal Express, the world’s only all-glass gondola system. (Check out other cool features at Anakeesta following its recent expansion, including new overlooks and an enhanced treetop skywalk.)

Devil’s Backbone State Park
And for the outdoor adventurers, there’s newly opened Devil’s Backbone State Park. It’s perfect for a hike or just a quick pitstop as you travel along Natchez Trace Parkway.
