Ireland’s iconic and scenic Wild Atlantic Way, a famous route traversing the west coast of Ireland, just became more accessible for travelers thanks to a major public transportation development.
A new bus route from Galway to Doolin Pier and the beloved Cliffs of Moher just opened, allowing travelers to enjoy car-free access to some of the most popular destinations along the Wild Atlantic Way. This means travelers don’t need to worry about renting a car, driving on the other side of road (and sometimes along narrow, cliff-lined places) or the crowds that often flood the road in warmer months.
Route 351 also pairs with Doolin Ferry’s sailings to the Aran Islands, off the coast of Galway, as well as the Cliffs of Moher and national rail services at Oranmore. Operated by TFI Local Link Limerick Clare, the new service offers up to five daily trips, with four running the full scenic route from Galway City to the Cliffs of Moher. Stops on this route include the coastal villages of Ballyvaughan and Kinvara, as well as traversing the Burren.
Travelers can also combine this route with Bus Éireann’s (Ireland’s national bus service) enhanced Route 350.
Route 351 runs daily and year-round, ranging about $3–9.
