Norwegian Cruise Line is making some major enhancements at its private Bahamian island, Great Stirrup Cay.
Now, cruisers who stop at this destination will be able to enjoy the Great Life Lagoon, a 1.4-acre pool area with a heated pool larger than two Olympic-sized pools combined, a beach-style pool entrance, splash area, private cabanas and swim-up bars.
Meanwhile, a new Vibe Shore Club offers an adults-only escape on the beach with private cabanas and a bar. Other highlights include a new complimentary kids splash pad, welcome center and tram system.
Beyond these recent enhancements, still to come is a waterpark with nearly 20 waterslides, cliffside jumps and more.
“Great Stirrup Cay has always been a favorite for our guests, and these new enhancements make it even easier for guests to trade the winter weather for the warm tropics and enjoy an ‘Escape to the Great Life,'” said Harry Sommer, president and CEO, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
He added, “With the fun versatility of Great Life Lagoon, and family-friendly spots like Splash Harbor, we’ve created an island where everyone can unwind, play and make lasting memories. This transformation is all about offering premium experiences and unparalleled guest services to our guests and giving them the freedom and flexibility to enjoy their vacation their way…”
