One of almost 20 cruise ships in the Princess Cruises fleet, the Ruby Princess was first christened Nov. 6, 2008 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. A Crown-class ship built by Fincantieri in Trieste, Italy, she boasts the perfect atmosphere for romantic getaways while offering plenty of comfort and fun for singles and families alike.
Ruby Princess is the youngest Crown-class ship and offers the features and amenities characteristic of Grand-class cruise ships with a few changes and a few extras. All guests can enjoy top-notch food in one of several restaurants and dining halls, including traditional dining rooms such as the Boticelli, anytime dining in the Michelangelo and Da Vinci dining rooms, or favorite dishes from one of a number of specialty restaurants. Casual dining options are also available for families with children or anyone who wants take-out.
Families can enjoy a day by the pool or parents can send children to the arcade or youth centers while getting a workout in in the gym or enjoying some pampering in the spa.
Adults can enjoy the upscale Adagio Bar for a relaxing drink, Club Fusion for a night of dancing or Gatsby’s Casino for a bit of gambling. In the evenings, Movies Under the Stars provides the perfect environment for everyone to grab a blanket and enjoy a movie outside. Art appreciators enjoy live performances, concerts and take part in art auctions to bid on one-of-a-kind souvenirs.
With comfortable staterooms and suites, excellent service and a huge variety of activities, Ruby Princess is sure to keep everyone entertained and happy between ports.
