You’ve seen New York City on foot and maybe by bus or car, but have you seen New York City from the water? TopView Sightseeing provides your typical hop-on, hop-off bus tours around the city, but it also offers a variety of water cruises via its other brands, Event Cruises NYC and Liberty Cruise, and there are a few experiences you should definitely check out.
For example, did you know you could go whale watching in New York City? With Event Cruises NYC’s whale-watching excursion, you can spot North Atlantic right whales, fin whales, humpback whales and more through Oct. 30, when you book one of these cruises departing Pier 36 in Manhattan. The tour takes just more than four hours, but there’s a 97 percent chance of seeing at least one whale during the trip.
If whale watching isn’t your thing, take a fall foliage tour this autumn. The tour provider’s short cruise shows off the Manhattan skyline, Statue of Liberty, Met Cloisters, Palisades and more as you travel upriver over the nearly three-hour cruise, available through Thanksgiving weekend.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, if you’re looking for a unique way to celebrate the holiday this fall, Event Cruises NYC also offers Thanksgiving brunch and dinner experiences, allowing you to spend Thanksgiving in the city without battling crowds or doing any cooking or dishes.
