Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island officially completed its resort-wide renovation. Phase one wrapped up last summer with the unveiling of 340 updated and comfortably designed guestrooms. Since phase two is complete, the multimillion-dollar renovation extends to the whole property, enhancing the guest experience for leisure and business travelers alike.

The first thing guests will notice is the updated lobby, complete with a soothing color palette inspired by the beauty of Hilton Head Island. The lobby includes a custom wood-paneled reception desk with an ocean-toned backdrop wall for an easy and calming check-in experience. Guests are invited to relax in the rope-wrapped lounge chair and take in the stunning Tapestry of Self installation at the heart of the lobby. This installation was designed to capture the hotel’s spirit using visual elements of surrounding beaches, lighthouses, golf and wildlife.
Food and beverage outlets also debut new and refreshed concepts featuring updated designs and delicious coastal cuisine. At Seacrest Restaurant and Terrace, enjoy lagoon views and regionally inspired breakfast and dinner menus with fresh seafood and Lowcountry favorites. Sea Glass Market, in the lobby, is the perfect place to grab coffee, pastries, sandwiches and more on the go. Additionally, two new restaurants have been added to the mix: Driftwood Rum Bar and The Patio. At Driftwood Rum Bar, expect a moody, coastal-inspired lounge offering small bites and hand-crafted cocktails made with rum and local spirits. The Patio will serve elevated bar bites and a rotating selection of beers on draft.

Outdoor amenities also received an upgrade and now include a new hot tub; relaxation swimming pool with private cabanas and fire pits with seating areas across the property; and new Sea Glass Provisions Shop, a coastal-inspired boutique with beach toys, swimwear and more.
