Spring break is one of the most anticipated times to travel and have fun in the sun. This post will give you reasons to ditch the beach life for a culturally stimulating time in Mexico’s capital, Mexico City.

Zocalo is the city center, a beautiful tourist attraction, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was once a ceremonial ground for Aztecs. There are usually a lot of cultural events and concerts hosted here. Surrounding areas provide beautiful art, restaurants and shops. Plaza de la Constitución is also in Zocalo and is where the country’s constitution was birthed in 1813.

Frida Kahlo Museum is a structure that has a beautiful cobalt blue exterior. It is a historic museum dedicated to the life and work of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. There are also other artists featured in the museum, and there are photographs, artifacts, memorabilia and personal items displayed.

Mexico City has some of the most beautiful churches in Latin America. The Basilica de Guadelupe, Catedral Metropolitana de Mexico, Parroquia de San Jacinto and Iglesia de San Juan Bautista are examples. They are some of the oldest churches with beautiful architecture, stunning interiors and impressive designs and artwork.

Bosque de Chapultepec is the largest park in Mexico and one of the largest in the Western Hemisphere. The park has a series of tanks, reservoirs, canals and waterfalls. There are also a variety of museums in the park, including the National Museum of Anthropology, Museum of Modern Art and the National Auditorium, an entertainment center.
