The Lin Beach House Opens in New York’s North Fork

The Lin Beach House recently opened in Greenport, New York, entering its next chapter as a culinary and wellness destination rooted in the farms, fisheries, vineyards and waterways of the North Fork. With just six guestrooms and a maximum of 12 overnight guests at a time, the property offers fully private, immersive experiences centered around food, hospitality, and direct access to the people and places that define the region. Guests can experience The Lin through fully private buyouts or select seasonal weekends.

Leslie Merinoff Kwasnieski, co-founder and distiller, Matchbook Distilling Co., and her husband Brian Kwasnieski are at the helm of The Lin’s relaunch.

Guests may reserve the entire six-room house through one of three fully private itineraries, priced from $12,000 for two nights for groups of up to 12 guests and inclusive of accommodations, meals and programming; or through select Weekend Dose weekends, available throughout the season from $2,000 per room, with additional nights available to extend any trip.

Weekend Dose Weekends will be held July 17 and 31; Aug. 8 and 28; Sept. 4 and 18; and Oct. 9 and 23. The three-day, two-night stay includes accommodations; signature experiences such as pound trap fishing, personal gin blending class and a Seasonal Preserves Workshop; and all food and beverage throughout the weekend. The Lin Beach House’s exclusive house buyout itineraries include:

• Keys to the Sea: Built around the North Fork’s working waterways, Keys to the Sea offers guests access to one of the region’s oldest continuously practiced fishing traditions: pound trap fishing, a highly sustainable method originally practiced by the Montaukett and Shinnecock communities. Guests head out with local fishermen before the experience continues with small-group oyster farm visits aboard a restored 1936 Chris-Craft to Founders Oysters. Additional experiences include private sailing excursions, dockside breakfasts featuring coffee roasted in-house at Matchbook Distilling Co. and fireside dinners built around local catch.
• The Lin Reset: A slower-paced culinary and wellness retreat designed around intentional rest, seasonal cooking, movement and time outdoors and led by The Lin’s culinary team, menus are built around seasonal ingredients from The Lin’s greenhouse and East End farm partners. Daily yoga and Pilates sessions, guided vineyard walks, meditation, beach access, and time around The Lin’s restored saltwater plunge pool are woven throughout, alongside optional add-ons.
• From Scratch: A Cook’s Journey: A hands-on culinary retreat focused on foundational technique, intuitive cooking and ingredient-driven hospitality rooted in the products and producers of the East End designed for home cooks of all skill levels, the experience centers on helping guests learn how to think like cooks through seasoning demonstrations, knife skills workshops, cooking technique sessions, collaborative meals, farm visits, foraging and a final dinner prepared together.

In addition, The Lin Beach House will host standalone programming and ticketed events throughout the year, including guest chef dinners, cooking workshops, cocktail classes, wellness gatherings, seasonal farm dinners and agricultural experiences open to outside guests.
