The Webster Lifestyle Hotel Brand Comes to New York City, London This Year

A design-forward lifestyle hotel brand is making its debut in not one but two international cities this year. The Webster will open in London with The Webster Covent Garden in July, followed by The Webster Times Square, New York, this winter.

Each hotel is deeply tied to the literary and creative heritage of its respective location. The London-based property, for instance, opens on Lincoln’s Inn Fields, long celebrated as a center of intellectual exchange and creativity. Charles Dickens studied law nearby and drew inspiration from the surrounding streets for his novels. The Webster Times Square, New York, meanwhile, gets its name from the historic Webster Hotel, where Nobel Prize-winning author Gabriel García Márquez stayed in 1961, a formative period that would later influence his work.

Guestrooms are serene sanctuaries with warm and neutral palettes and textured details. Curated amenities include Marshall speakers, Jacob Jensen phones, classic alarm clocks and hand-selected books, as well as bespoke artwork and custom-pattered drapery.

Across both hotels, intimate lounges and flexible public spaces serve as gathering spots, while library nooks encourage reflection and creativity. The London hotel will offer an all-day social space outdoors that shifts from serving morning pastries to leisurely lunches to evening cocktails. The hotel will also boast Carmelina’s, an Italian-inspired eatery and speakeasy. Carla’s List will sit downstairs and offer craft cocktails and dancing, and a café and aperitivo bar will be found in the lobby and nearby terrace.

The New York City-based hotel will be home to an outlet from Maison Premiere, bringing dynamic dining and nightlife to the property.
