Marriott International opened its first all-inclusive The Westin resort in Mexico. Welcoming guests as of last month, The Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort was previously The Westin Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta. Now, the property has reimagined the guest experience, as well as its guestrooms and public spaces, thanks to a multimillion-dollar refurbishment.

Travelers can choose from nearly 300 guestrooms, all featuring the new The Westin Heavenly Bed 2.0. New accommodation options include the swim-up junior suite, an adults-only room that also gives guests access to Playa Dip Club, a swim-up bar-like experience. Other options include sky pool suites, with private plunge pools and ocean views, and family-oriented studios with kitchenettes.

The resort’s culinary and mixology offerings now focus around Gourmet Gallery, an open-air space blending 10 different concepts, such as a botanical-inspired cocktail lounge (Flora Bar), a Mezcal-pairing experience (Agave Studio) and a Mexican street food-style eatery (Call Me Lalo Taqueria).

“We are thrilled to welcome travelers to this new chapter in upscale all-inclusive travel,” said Hugo Lecanda, general manager, The Westin Playa Vallarta, an All-Inclusive Resort. “As more travelers opt for seamless, elevated experiences that nourish both the mind and body, we invite our guests to embrace a new way to experience Mexico’s Pacific Coast.”
