Riverside Luxury Cruises embraces all things beer with its new Hops & Heritage: Cruising Through Centuries of Brewing Craftsmanship. Beer lovers won’t want to miss this first-of-its-kind journey, which sails through the heart of Europe’s legendary beer culture.
This new, eight-day itinerary runs July 29–Aug. 5, 2026, showcasing the rich heritage of western European beer, as well as the work of seasoned craftsmen across multiple countries. There will even be an on-board beer sommelier (James Kellow) ready to take guests on dedicated excursions to sample beer and meet the makers at well-known and craft breweries and public houses.

Along the way, passengers will also enjoy beers from each region, including German pilsners to kolsch in Cologne to grolsch in Arnhem. The trip concludes in the historical brewing center of Amsterdam.
Onboard, guests can also take part in interactive and educational sessions, including beer tastings, beer and food pairings, and daily recommendations to accompany the à la carte menu in Waterside restaurant.
Guests wishing to further elevate the experience can book the Vintage Room fine-dining experience for an additional cost, where the ship’s executive chef and Kellow create a seven-course experience celebrating regional beer and locally inspired dishes.
Destinations on this trip include Basel, Switzerland; Huningue and Strasbourg, France; Speyer, Mannheim, Rüdesheim and Cologne, Germany; and Arnhem and Amsterdam, Netherlands.
