Benidorm , Spain, has a reputation as something of a party destination thanks to its abundance of bars and beach life. Young Europeans flock to the region during the summer months and here are the bars they enjoy when in town.
Morgan’s Tavern is one of the most popular bars in Benidorm thanks to cheap drinks and excellent cover bands. No matter which night you come you’ll find a packed house rocking to the sounds of Queen or Katy Perry.
Showboat is not primarily a gay bar, but it does feature Benidorm’s favorite drag queen. Stella is something of a local treasure who takes delight in insulting the bar’s patrons as they dine and enjoy their drinks. If you have thick skin, it’s definitely a great experience.
The Tiki Beach Bar is a favorite among locals and tourists and often serves as a popular birthday celebration spot. The views overlooking the ocean serve as a perfect backdrop for a night on the town and the drinks here are definitely affordable.
Another great joint to try is Rocky’s. This unassuming little establishment has karaoke nights, pool tables and plenty of televisions for anyone hoping to catch a game. It’s one of the more laidback bars in Benidorm so you can still have a conversation here over the music.
