Samye Monastery
Another important place to visit is the monastery. This is the birthplace of Tibetan Buddhism and many travel here for religious purposes. It is set in a charming valley surrounded by mountains. Samye is a must-visit for anyone going to Tibet.
Mt. Everet Base Camp
Mt. Everest is every adventure traveler’s dream. This is not an easy site to get to and you will most likely be affected by altitude sickness so be prepared. It is also somewhat expensive for this outing, but the experience is worth it.

Jokhang Temple is a sacred temple for the Tibetan people. It was the first Buddhist temple in Tibet and considered the most sacred and important. Jokhang is part of Potala Palace, an easy place to access for travelers.
