For the first time, Virgin opens applications for its next head of Yes to Americans. What exactly is head of Yes? Inspired by Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson’s nickname Dr. Yes, it’s a paid, six-month partnership where a selected individual travels and enjoys Virgin-supported experiences, sharing the entire trip on social media.
Formerly available only to U.K. residents, this year the search opens up to Americans, too. One person from either country will receive a $100,000 (£75,000) fee to spend six months literally saying “yes” to experiences across Virgin Hotels Collection, Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Voyages and more.
This opportunity isn’t for professional influencers or those with millions of followers on social media. Rather, Virgin wants someone with a compelling story about a time they said “yes,” and the adventures and unforgettable memories that followed.
The brand’s first head of Yes, Chris Tomkins, spent six months road-tripping through the American South, spending 48 hours in Seoul, visiting Mallorca and hosting a Yes Day at sea on a Caribbean voyage.
Applications are open until Oct. 20. To enter, post a video on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube sharing a time you said “yes,” and where it led, using #HeadofYes and tagging @Virgin.
