MSC Cruises recently inaugurated the largest cruise terminal in North America — MSC Miami Cruise Terminal at PortMiami. The terminal, which measures nearly 500,000 square feet, can process up to 36,000 cruise passengers daily. Despite the crowds, though, this terminal was built with a stress-free experience in mind.
So what can you anticipate if you sail with MSC Cruises from Miami in the near future? Here are a few stand-out features to expect at the terminal.
Biometric Processing
When guests check into their cruise in advance via the MSC Cruises app or website, they can opt for biometric processing to streamline the embarkation day process. Upon arrival at the terminal, travelers simply scan their passport, look at a camera and head through security. Biometrics are also used before guests enter the gangway.

Easier Arrivals
The terminal features a 2,400-space parking garage, where you can reserve a parking spot in advance via the MSC Cruises app.
An Upgraded Waiting Experience
As guests wait for embarkation, they can relax in the state-of-the-art, modern and luxurious terminal, with multiple comfortable waiting areas. MSC Yacht Club guests enjoy their own waiting area, where drinks and snacks are served ahead of boarding the ship. The terminal is outfitted with multiple curated works of art, including a 10,816-square-foot digitally projected installation.
