If you’re an avid cruiser always looking to book a trip on the newest, biggest ships, then secure your spot on Norwegian Aura. Norwegian Cruise Line opened the ship for sales last month and, when it launches, it will be the biggest in the fleet. Norwegian Aura is set to debut in Europe in May 2027, before traveling to its home port in Miami in June 2027.
So, just how big is this ship?
Norwegian Aura measures approximately 169,000 GT, and is capable of carrying 3,840 guests at double occupancy. While this certainly pales in comparison to Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class ships, it’s still a major milestone for the NCL brand, with its next largest ships — Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna — 10 percent smaller.
Standout features on the new ship include Ocean Heights, an open-air family activity zone stretching across decks 18 to 21. The ship will feature more water and dry slides than any Norwegian ship to date, and also the brand’s first overhanging private cabanas, which offer views of Vibe Beach Club. The ship’s pool deck will also be the largest in the fleet.
From Miami, Norwegian Aura will offer seven-day Caribbean cruises.
