Wildflower Travel Is Pretty

There is a reason people often spend thousands of dollars hiring a florist for their wedding, or spending a lot of money sending flowers.

In many places, certainly in the Northern Hemisphere, “April showers bring May flowers,” and fields of innumerable wildflower species. If you don’t have allergies or hay fever issues, wildflowers should be observed, especially if looking for a simple weekend drive. Identification for some even adds to the fun and beauty.

Poppies are a wildflower and lovely, so head to the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve just north of Los Angeles if that’s your thing.

Simply have a look around your area and use Google to identify somewhere for a daytrip this month. Wherever you live, there are wildflowers close. Call a local university and ask a botanist or call a florist or floriculturist; their professions dictate they might know and would like to share in your education.
