This may sound counterintuitive, but this tip involves taking part in all-you-can-eat buffets offered on cruise ships and part of most packages. Although it might seem like a lot of money upfront, it will save you in the long run because the buffet meals will be replacing fancy a-la-carte meals.
Organize your own tours
When the boat docks, the new land before you can seem overwhelming, and it may feel easy and tempting to just book a tour with the ship’s options. Instead of paying the cruise company for a tour, refer to a guidebook before your trip and plan what you want to see and do.
Go easy on the alcohol
Cocktails and vacations often go hand in hand, but limiting your alcohol consumption means you will cut way back on your daily budget as cruise lines like to spike the cost of adult beverages.
