It’s pure music to the ears when a city goes beyond brick and mortar to transform itself into a rockin’ destination. There’s something almost transcendent that takes place when a town becomes more than a tourist spot and welcomes outsiders into the crowd for a duet of culture and great tunes. From a town that turns into a fairground for festival-goers to a vacation destination that beckons tourists into the audience, these three cities take the stage when it comes to music offerings.

Austin, Texas

Austin is known as the Live Music Capital of the World, and, with bands even set up inside the terminal of the airport, it’s easy to see why this is a top music destination. This quirky city takes its music seriously, literally transforming itself into a massive venue multiple times a year for music festivals like SXSW and ACL.

Nashville, Tenn.

Nashville is Music City. Not only have some of the biggest names in the industry gotten their starts in Nashville, but the city is also crawling with incredible talent seeking to get discovered. You never know, the girl serenading your morning breakfast may just be the next chart-topping artist.

Dublin, Ireland

From grunge to pop and folk to R&B, Dublin doesn’t discriminate against any music genre. In fact, this harmonious city embraces the dissonant styles, with even the most chic 5-star hotel in the city The Dylan Hotel encouraging guests to explore the different music scenes of the city with a local pub crawl, like the Dublin City Pub Crawl that showcases most of the main small venues in the city, and some of Damien Rice’s favorite old haunts.
