Dubai is a luxurious city in the United Arab Emirates. Known for its over-the-top attractions and general opulence, check out these attractions on your first visit to Dubai.

 

Burj Khalifa 

This modern skyscraper is currently the tallest building in the world at 2,716.5 feet and more than 160 stories. The Burj Khalifa officially opened in January 2010. There are two observation decks open to the public. You must book a ticket to visit.

 

Dubai Creek

Located in the old two section of Dubai, Dubai Creek is a saltwater body of water where the Bani Yas tribe settled in the 19th century. Today, visitors can take a ride on the creek and visit the nearby Dubai Museum to learn more about the history of the area.

 

Dubai Mall 

Experience Dubai’s extravagant mall. Shoppers will find luxury brands, fine-dining restaurants, 5-star properties and even an ice skating rink and aquarium on site. Open daily, personalized shopping services are available.

 

Jumeirah Mosque 

Jumeirah Mosque is open to non-Muslim visitors six days a week. Opened in 1979, the place of worship can hold up to 1,200 guests. Guided tours are available.

 

The Palm Jumeirah 

The manmade island resembles a palm tree when viewed from above. The island is home to luxurious resorts like Atlantis The Palm, apartment buildings, restaurants, nightlife and a boardwalk. The island is accessible by car, public transportation and monorail.
