Last month, Alaska Airlines launched new non-stop service between Seattle (SEA) and Seoul (ICN).
The service operates five times weekly, utilizing a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner borrowed from Hawaiian Airlines (also owned by Alaska Air Group). It is the first time an Alaska Air Group airline is utilizing the aircraft for an international route from Seattle. It will offer 34 business-class suites and, in 2026, Starlink WiFi. Alaska Air Group will additionally further expand its use of the 787-9 on international routes from Seattle starting in 2026, on routes between Seattle and Tokyo (NRT), London (LHR) and Rome (FCO).
The new flights depart Seattle at 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, arriving in Seoul at 6:35 p.m. the next day. Flights return to Seattle on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, departing Seoul at 8:35 p.m. and arriving in Seattle at 2:45 p.m. the same day.
“From dozens of destinations across our robust network, guests can connect through our global gateway in Seattle for convenient nonstop service to Seoul Incheon — an important business market and one of Asia’s most dynamic cities,” described Kirsten Amrine, vice president of revenue management and network planning, Alaska Airlines. “From Seoul, flyers can catch flights to additional Asian destinations with our global partners.”
